On February 19 (25), Samar State University (SSU) partnered with Campus France Philippines to host two impactful events aimed at expanding international academic horizons for its students and faculty. Titled “Cooperation Opportunities with Campus France Philippines†and “Information Session for SSU Students and Faculty on French Higher Education,†these events highlighted SSU’s dedication to fostering global learning opportunities. Co-hosted by the Office of International Affairs and Student Welfare and Development Services, the events underscored the university’s drive for international engagement and collaboration.
Cooperation Opportunities with Campus France Philippines
The first session, attended by college coordinators and a representative from Samar Colleges, Inc. and two of their students, focused on exploring partnerships with Campus France Philippines. Engr. Ma. Lourdes P. Amante, representing SSU President Dr. Redentor S. Palencia, delivered welcome remarks, emphasizing SSU’s support for global learning. Dr. Elmer A. Irene introduced Mr. Paulo Udani, who led a discussion on the various programs and opportunities available for SSU students and faculty interested in pursuing education in France.
The session concluded with a renewed commitment to fostering international academic opportunities at SSU. The collaboration with Campus France Philippines is expected to allow students and faculty to explore educational pathways in France, further enhancing SSU’s global engagement.
Information Session for SSU Students and Faculty on French Higher Education
The second session, “Information Session for SSU Students and Faculty on French Higher Educationâ€, provided a deeper exploration of educational opportunities in France. The forum gathered faculty members and students from different colleges at the 3rd Floor, Convention Center.
Mr. Paulo Udani once again took the floor as the resource speaker, sharing insights into the French higher education system, scholarship opportunities, and the benefits of studying abroad. His presentation covered the admission process, living conditions, and the academic support available for international students.
The session featured a question-and-answer portion, during which faculty and staff asked about study opportunities in France. Mr. Udani enthusiastically addressed all queries, leaving attendees with a clearer understanding of their options. The event concluded with a group photo to mark its success and strengthen ties between SSU and Campus France Philippines.
Both events underscored Samar State University’s ongoing efforts to broaden its horizons and encourage international engagement. The partnership with Campus France Philippines is expected to open new doors for SSU students and faculty to pursue academic and cultural opportunities in France.
