Short Term Exchange Programs

  • Inbound

A development program lasting one week or more but no longer than three months, aimed to meet the adjustment needs of international students. It organizes events that enable them to mingle with local (Filipino) students and fellow sojourners. This program includes activities such as cultural immersion tours, social interaction, skill development, and seminars to help students better comprehend and adjust to cultural diversity. The Office of International Affairs organizes these programs in collaboration with other departments and organizations on and off campus. Except for Sunday, these activities are conducted throughout the stint. All of the aforementioned events must be attended and completed by exchange students.

  • Outbound

Outbound Student Exchange Program at Samar State University strengthens the University’s collaborations with other institutions by providing chances for SSU students to experience a new learning environment and be exposed to diverse cultures in order to widen their perspectives.

Twinning Program/ Transnational Education

A twinning program is a program given through an agreement/partnership between two universities that allows students to finish a part of their degree at one institution and the remaining of their degree at the partner university overseas. One characteristic of the Twinning program is that students will receive a degree certificate from a university overseas after the degree. These programs allow you to transfer to a university overseas to finish your degree and broaden your horizons as a student. Studying abroad may be one of the most life-changing, enlightening experiences of your life, and this program gives you a pathway to experience that. The most significant advantage of the twinning program is that you will be enrolled in two universities: your home institution and your future university (partner university) abroad. As a result, because you are considered a student at both colleges, you will be allowed to access their libraries and services during your studies.
