Samar State University (SSU), through the efforts of the Office of International Affairs, in a significant stride towards international collaboration and academic excellence, has secured membership in the ICT Virtual Organization of ASEAN Institutes and NICT (ASEAN IVO), a global network with over 94 member institutes and universities across ASEAN countries and Japan.
ASEAN IVO is a global alliance of ICT R&D institutes and universities in the ASEAN region and Japan. The mission of ASEAN IVO is to seek and identify strategic ICT research areas in the ASEAN region and promote collaborative projects in them.
Recognizing the paramount importance of international collaboration and acknowledging the dynamic nature of the ICT industry, SSU’s membership in ASEAN IVO is anticipated to yield valuable opportunities for the university. This affiliation will empower SSU to actively contribute to and benefit from the collective expertise within the ASEAN region and Japan, enhancing its global standing in the field of information and communication technology.
