On July 2, 2024, the coaches from Samar State University (SSU) gathered for a meeting in preparation for the upcoming Regional ASEAN Celebration competitions and cultural presentations. Dr. Elmer A. Irene, the Director for International Affairs, led the session, sharing insights from the recently concluded “Inception Meeting for ASEAN Celebration 2024.”
This year, SSU has been selected to represent Laos. In this capacity, the university will showcase a dance performance that embodies and promotes the rich cultural heritage and interests of Laos during the celebration. The meeting was a crucial step in ensuring that SSU’s representation is both authentic and impactful.
The discussions focused on the various aspects of the event, with coaches and coordinators strategizing to ensure a seamless and successful participation. Plans and budget were initially laid out to guarantee that it aligns with the standards and expectations of the regional and national ASEAN Celebration.
