Engr. Nikko Ardel P. Floretes, Head, Innovation and Technology Support, and faculty member, SSU College of Engineering, participated in the Global Learning Program (GLP) of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Surabaya, Indonesia, which emphasizes the chance of providing lectures to their students on the preset topics and to also establish connections with other institutions. The lecture was done with three class sessions over the course of the program, and took place on-site at the ITS main campus in Surabaya, Indonesia on September 21-24 (2022). The guest lecturer from SSU spoke about his subject in relation to insights and applications of technology, particularly on intellectual property and technology implementation.

Engr. Floretes was impressed of the hostโ€™s provisions to Guest lecturers such as food and accommodation and enjoyed the tour to different tourism spots in Surabaya. He, however, encountered travel glitches in preparing travel documents but overall, he is thankful of the experience and recommended of a policy provision on international speakership be laid down in order to encourage more faculty members to engage in internationalization.
