Zhengzhou, China – Samar State University (SSU) is gearing up for an exciting international showdown as they prepare to compete in the highly anticipated Intercontinental Collegiate Basketball Tournament hosted by SIAS University in Zhengzhou, China. The tournament is scheduled to take place from September 16th to September 23rd, 2023.
The delegation from Samar State University, led by University President Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, is composed of a dedicated group of individuals committed to showcasing the talent and sportsmanship of Filipino collegiate basketball. The team includes Dr. Elmer A. Irene, Director of the Office of International Affairs, who has played a pivotal role in coordinating the university’s participation in this prestigious event.
Dr. Randy E. Pacadaljen, the head coach of the SSU basketball team, is at the helm of the squad, and he has been tirelessly preparing the athletes for this challenging competition. The players representing SSU are:
