CATBALOGAN CITYโ Samar State University (SSU) ranked 1 among Philippine and world universities under the Fourth Industrial Revolution category by the World Universities with Real Impact (WURI) 2022 as announced yesterday, June 9 (2022).
WURI was created by the Organizing Committee of the Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU) and assesses a universityโs real contributions to society by highlighting unique and innovative methods to research and educational programs based on the six criteria: (1) Industrial Applications, (2) Value-Creating, (3) Social Responsibility, Ethics, and Integrity, (4) Student Mobility and Openness, (5) Crisis Management, and (6) Progress during the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Aside from the Top 1 ranking, the University also finished at Top 43 and Top 50 under the Industrial Revolution and Crisis Management categories, respectively.
Overwhelmed and humbled with these recognitions, the University President, Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, just uttered, โTo God be the glory!โ
