Date: May 21, 2025

On May 21, 2025, a significant step toward bridging education and employment was marked by the virtual participation of Ariel Abarratigue and Mark Brian Quemaño from the Office of International Affairs, alongside Glenn Donadillo of the Student Welfare and Development Services of Samar State University. They joined an online information session titled “Internationalization of HEIs: Info Session on SeeMeSOL Program on Accelerating Education to Employment Pathways,” organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region VIII in collaboration with SeeMeSOL. This event underscored the growing importance of integrating technology-driven career services within higher education institutions (HEIs) to enhance graduate employability.

SeeMeSOL, a forward-thinking hiring solution platform, has been at the forefront of aligning academic institutions with industry demands. During the session, Ms. Angel Dastjerdi, Head of Business Development at SeeMeSOL, introduced the diverse services the platform offers. These include tools and integrations designed to strengthen HEIs’ career services, such as Alumni Tracer Studies, Career Talks and Industry Linkages, Student Preparation Programs, Video CVs, AI-powered Mock Interviews, English Language Assessments, and Virtual or Hybrid Job Fairs. These resources aim to equip students with practical skills and exposure to better navigate their transition from academia to the professional world.

Victor San Pascual, Business Development Manager at SeeMeSOL, took the lead in demonstrating the SeeMeCV platform during a live walkthrough. He detailed its user-friendly interface, innovative features, and the step-by-step navigation process, providing attendees with a clear understanding of how to leverage the system effectively within their institutions.

The session gathered thirty-nine (39) representatives from both private and public HEIs across Region VIII. Institutions such as Biliran Province State University, Christ the King College of Calbayog City, Eastern Samar State University, Leyte Normal University, Samar State University, Visayas State University, and others actively engaged in the session. Their involvement signals a strong regional commitment to enhancing career development services and forging stronger pathways from education to employment.

By spotlighting these strategic initiatives, the session not only highlighted the collaborative efforts between CHED Region VIII and SeeMeSOL but also demonstrated the growing role of digital solutions in reshaping the future of graduate readiness and workforce integration across the Philippine education landscape.
