SSU participates in the UTM Mobility Carnival 2024: Lets Study Abroad

SSU’s Director for Student Welfare and Development Services, Dr. Mae V. Cañal  participates in the “UTM Mobility Carnival 2024: Let’s Study Abroad” (UMC 2024), hosted by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) from May 27 to 29, 2024.

The program commenced with opening remarks by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norahim bin Ibrahim, followed by a welcome address from Professor Ts. Dr. Edy Tonnizam bin Mohamad, who greeted delegates from various universities. The participants then moved to the Student Union Building for the exhibition, where international students could inquire about student exchange programs from different university representatives. Dr. Cañal enthusiastically engaged with students interested in learning about the opportunities and programs that Samar State University offers.

The event featured 38 delegations from 16 countries, including universities from the Philippines such as Samar State University, Northwest Samar State University, Davao del Sur State College, and the University of San Agustin. With a total of 52 delegates in attendance, UMC 2024 promises to provide invaluable insights into the latest trends and developments in education, paving the way for future collaborations. This carnival presents an excellent opportunity for students and faculty to explore study-abroad programs and engage with 40 institutions from 15 countries.
